About Lauren..

Lauren Sullivan is proud to call Northfleet home, where she lives with her husband and two children.
A scientist, qualified teacher and published researcher, Lauren gained a PhD studying neglected tropical diseases and later worked as a Visiting Scientist at the Francis Crick Institute, researching the immune response to Malaria.
Alongside her scientific career, Lauren dedicated many years to public service, representing local residents as a councillor and serving as Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Labour Group at Kent County Council.
In July 2024, Lauren made history by becoming the first woman elected as the Labour MP for Gravesham.
Lauren believes Gravesham is full of potential, with proud communities, a rich history and a bright future. She is committed to securing the investment, public services and opportunities that local people deserve, putting residents first and working every day to make Gravesham an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
